On 25th May 2018, new rules governing the way in which organisations collect, use and process personal data will be introduced under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This new legislation will have direct effect on all member states of the EU which include, for the time being, the UK. GDPR will introduce important new rules to the data protection regime, and preparing for compliance will require significant changes to operational and administrative processes for most organisations. So, organisations should be acting now to be compliant by the 25th May deadline. There is no grace period after implementation. Hugh and Claire will introduce the key changes being introduced by the GDPR and offer practical steps to include in a compliance project.
